PIRAEUS BANK - Million Promo
Intro
Piraeus Bank operates as a private credit institution in Greece. We created a promotional activity of Piraeus Bank for it’s checking and savings accounts where one lucky winner could double the balance of his bank account.
Challenge
Piraeus Bank, faced huge completion among all other banks of Greece and wanted to reinforce it’s position by gaining new bank accounts. Therefore the request was to create a promo that will directly increase the opening of new accounts.
Solution
Could there be a better reason to convince a customer to open his saving account in your bank, other than giving him the chance to double the amount of his account? An enormous promotion was set where one lucky winner would double his savings every day. How could this be possible?
As the amounts of a bank account could vary significantly, we created a mechanism for the promotion to run where the amount of the prizes were insured by a third company. What that means is that Piraeus could run the promotion without having to worry about the amount of the account that was doubled every day. On top of that 1 customer among all the new ones won 1.000.000€.
Outcome
There was a huge increase in new bank accounts. The success of the promotion was so enormous, that the activity was repeated for 2 more years.
