SONY ERICSSON - Interacive Screens
Intro
Sony Ericsson is one of the market leaders in the cell phone sector, a quite competitive sector with a clutter of new launces. We developed an innovative promo that made the launch on Xperia X10, a success story at selective Germanos Stores.
Challenge
When the new model “X10” was going to be launched, Sony Ericsson gave as the mission to generate trials of the phone in selective Germanos stores and get consumers to navigate the phone.
Solution
Our solution was to give everyone the opportunity to navigate 24/7 the phone in a very innovative way through a technology never been used before in Greece. We found the way to let anyone navigate 24/7 the mobile. An Interactive Screen was placed in the shop windows of Germanos stores. On the interactive window we replicated the software of the devise, inviting users to touch the screen in order to experience the infinite possibilities of the new XperiaX10. By touching the window the user could navigate as if he/she was using the phone. A competition was also added where users entered their phone number on the screen and instantly were told thorugh sms if they won the new Xperia x10.
Outcome
There was 20% increase of the in store traffic asking for price details about the device. More than 19,000 people interacted with the screen for more than 5 minutes on average and 3,000 people participated in the lead generation activity. The project was recognized by the «center of excellence Retail at Sony Ericsson». It was presented, as a case study, throughout the SE network. As a result countries like Sweden, England, France, Turkey asked information about the implementation of the project in their own countries. Last but not least, the project was awarded by GOLD AWARD & specially awarded as an innovative project with the GRAND INNOVATION AWARD at the 2010 Ermis Awards.
